Iron Maiden Somewhere Back in Time World Tour 2008 Boeing 757-200 1:200
As pioneers of the British heavy metal scene, Iron Maiden is the most successful band of their kind. Founded in 1975, Iron Maiden is a global phenomenon, with appearances in 60 countries around the world. Their Book of Souls tour began in 2016, during which the band performed in front a over 1.3 million fans in 117 concerts in 36 countries. For their last three tours, the band and crew traveled on specially designed planes. Called "Ed Force One" in reference to his mascot Eddie, each aircraft adorned the design of the respective album and the world tour that accompanied it. The pilot was none other than the same singer Bruce Dickinson, who also works as a pilot for the charter airline Astraeus, from which the two Boeing 757s come from, which were used on the two tours of 2008 and 2011.
